Dear Dwight

Dr. Dwight,
My name is Jason Gallagher and I am apart of a comedy group called "asthma attack". The group consists of myself, and 2 of my friends named Wade Browning, and Ben Fort. As far as B-ball we are all big fans. I am from Dallas so obviously I grew up a mavs fun. (even throught the bad times). Ben is from Houston so he is a Rockets lover, and Wade... well Wade just likes players. You are his favorite player actually. Through the playoffs he would where your jersey with a superman cape while the games were on. It was funny to see a grown man in Buffalo Wild Wings in a cape...

Anyways. We just graduated from school at Oklahoma Baptist University and in August we are moving to Chicago to attend school at "the second city". The second city is a great comedy school that has alumni such as Chris Farley, Tina Fey, Adam Sandler... etc. Anyways, the 3 of us don't really perform much (wade does actually) but we are always writing. For the past four years we've written 16 full length comedy shows for our school. We wrote one play and sold tickets in Oklahoma city and had one night of comedy (which we all performed) where all proceeds went to a charity called "family promise". I have a truck fulls... no scratch that, TANK FULLS of skits.

Okay, here is the deal. We have a prop for you. We are all fans of basketball and of humor. It is our 2 passions, even though I'm like 5'8. LOL. I've noticed that you are really really funny. And that you love to entertain folks. Well I was watching some video's on your web-site and I thought "man, it would be so awesome to write for soemone like that" Then I read one of your tweets about skit ideas and it hit me... What if, the 3 of us (asthma attack) , worked around the clock to write stuff for you. Almost like, your personal comedy writers. Hear me out. We could have great video ideas, skit ideas, public events ideas, heck, even dunk ideas.( double back flip and kiss a baby's forehead) LOL.

If this interests you even 1%, we can send you all of our skit ideas... a list of references who have seen our stuff. Whatever you need. We are 3 good young guys who love comedy, basketball, God and we think we could make you like the funniest athlete ever.

Chapter I

This all seems a bit strange to me, the world that is. I mean, it is July and summer is almost over. I am about to enter my senior year and someone suggests, you should write down your thoughts, only don't write them... type them for the world to see. The last time this happened was 4 years ago. I was only a senior and the time was once again July. Only back then it was Xanga...

Would history find other ways to repeat itself from 4 years ago? Would I once again be listening to "Konstantine" by Something Corporate religiously? Would I begin running on a daily basis? Would I be sneaking out of my window at 1 a.m. every night to waste my time with an empty love? Oh... blogspot, time is playing games with this... growing boy who is not yet a man. What makes a man? Is it his courage, his bravado? If so, then a man, I am not.

Perhaps I'll never know.


Seriously, I'm in Georgia working. I'll reveal more later.
